New office and care home
Current Housing Situation
Our office is currently located in the outskirts of Kisumu. However, this is only a temporary solution and it offers no room for future expansion.
Exciting News!
For over a year, we’ve been searching for a suitable piece of land to build an office and, eventually, a Care Home for patients in need of short-term (basic) care. After many disappointments, we finally found a beautiful piece of land with an existing building—God is good! This building can serve as our office for now, and in the future, we envision it becoming our Care Home. What an incredible opportunity for Light to Shine!
Here are the key advantages:
We know the current owners personally, ensuring a smooth and trustworthy transfer process.
The upper floor of the house can immediately serve as office space, while the ground floor can later be converted into the Care Home once plans and budget allow.
The building also offers accommodation possibilities for visitors.
We avoid a lengthy construction phase and the complex process of obtaining building permits.
In the long run this option is more cost-effective than buying land, building an office, and later adding a Care Home.
The house comes equipped with solar panels and backup batteries, CCTV, a 5,000-liter water tank, and a solar water heater.
We hope to expand and establish a dedicated Care Home—A safe haven for those in vulnerable situations. A place that feels like home, where people receive wound care, nutritious meals, and a listening ear.
For any medical procedures or examinations, we will always refer patients to the hospital.
We are excited about the possibility of moving into this new space and becoming a blessing to those who need it most.
But we cannot do this without your help.
The total cost is €110,000, of which €40,000 has already been raised. Would you consider helping us raise the remaining amount?
